Sometimes the most humble of landscape elements can make the prettiest subjects.  With "Island Accents", I wanted to capture the beautiful contrast of textures, colors, light, and shadow that I saw on the beach one early evening.  The soft sand, the coarse grass, the warm, rose-colored sky, and the cool blue of the distant sea and shadow at my feet create a scene that my muse found irresistible.
