When I painted "Dappled Woods", I was in an Autumn frame of mind and looking forward to the return of the season's "luster in its sky".  This is one of my "tissue" pieces where I dampened my watercolor paper, then patted down wrinkled pieces of tissue paper on top of it and applied a soupy mix of paint on top of that. 

 

When the paint was not quite dry, I peeled up the tissue, saw what looked like a landscape in the random colors and textures.  I went from there and created a celebration of my favorite season!
