One of my favorite painting subjects is the Great Blue Heron, a graceful, elegant wading bird that shares the Hatteras Island landscape with me. With an enormous 6-ft. in-flight wingspan, the bird is well named. It's the largest heron in North America.
I chose to depict this magnificent creature doing what it does so well. That is, finding frogs, fish, and other delectables that it dines on along the shores of the Pamlico Sound and in the shallow creeks that crisscross the island.
Add this limited-edition art print to your collection or order it as a gift for the bird-lover in your life. It is signed and numbered by me and comes matted as shown to fit your 16x20 frame.
